About This Program

Operations Management knowledge ensures that the business of a company gets done. It includes all activities that turn raw materials into finished goods and products. The goal of operations management is to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity that ultimately leads to great customer satisfaction. Effective operations management leads to greater profits for a company. The program consists of required business courses that provide a conceptual foundation for developing a well-run operations-related department in a company that will aid the company in developing a competitive advantage in the industry. In addition to acquiring knowledge about business functional areas and management, students will develop skills/knowledge necessary to be effective operations managers.

Jacob Cho - ManagementJacob Cho

Jacob has plenty of academic and industrial experience with manufacturing and service operations from multiple countries. He worked in South Korea’s biotechnology industry for more than 11 years. Moving to Canada, he studied business and taught Operations Management and Service Operations Management. Now here in the United States, he teaches Operations Management and Supply Chain Management. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Western Ontario (now Western University). Jacob was instrumental in writing the proposal for the Operations Management degree program.

 

Johann Snyman

Growing up in South Africa, moving to the US and obtaining his degree in Business Administration from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, have given Johann a unique perspective about business issues that he brings to the classroom. Johann was instrumental in writing the proposal for the Operations Management degree program.
